France to pay 38m citizens ₤100 each to ease costs

  1. Stimulus cheque European style. This is just politics at it’s finest. They calculated it would be cheaper to give each £100 than cut the fuel duty which makes the government about 10x more in the same period. The populace becomes thankful of the chicken feed which simply goes back to the governments pocket. The governing party gets some nice sentiment and new supporters.
