Labas Everyone!

I am an international non-european student currently in Vilnius.

I had a question about the National Certificate, I will be taking an Antigen test here near Vilnius Airport, [https://www.vilnius-airport.lt/en/services-at-the-airport/testing](https://www.vilnius-airport.lt/en/services-at-the-airport/testing) after taking the test will I then automatically get a National Certificate telling I have taken a COVID19 test and tested negative for COVID19?

I am also not sure how I will “confirm my identity” for the certificate ([https://gpasas.lt/?lang=en](https://gpasas.lt/?lang=en)), the only official documents I have with me are my passport and Lithuanian student visa which is in my passport. I also have a Lithuanian Simcard and when choosing the “confirm my identity” via my phone number, it is asking for a Pin.

(PS I have been vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine (2 doses) and I am not sure if I am supposed to get another vaccine shot here in Lithuania)

Also, My uni has mentioned that all students need to isolate for 10 days before moving into the dorm. Now I started my isolation on the 20th at 1 pm and will be leaving on the 30th of August at 10AM, and I plan on taking my antigen test on the 30th in the morning so I can show the dorm authorities that I don’t have COVID19, my worry is that I am technically self-isolating for 9 nights instead of 10 nights and that I’ll get in trouble with my uni. What do I do here? will this be an issue?

Sorry if the above questions all sound stupid, I’m just really confused here and in all honesty, a bit overwhelmed since this is the first time I been so far from home. I appreciate all the help! Thank you in advance.

  1. Antigen tests are not allowed to get “Galimybiu pasas” (gpasas.lt) and it’s for nationals only. For EU citizens EU covid vaccination certificate is accepted for traveling and going to bars etc..

You should get antigen test certificate in email, but I am not sure if it is accepted for traveling or going out.

Unfortunetly Lithuania does not recognize Sputnik V vaccine. Only EMA approved vacines are recognized.

Edit: you should ask your university for more details imo. I think each university might be different.

If you want to get “vaccinated” record I think getting Jansen vaccine is best option – its single shot. More details for foreigners can be found here https://koronastop.lrv.lt/en/vaccination/vaccination-of-foreigners

  2. The national certificate can only be issued if you are a resident of Lithuania. You can use a suitable proof of vaccination instead, like the EU COVID certificate. But if you are a resident over the age of 16, the National Certificate is the preferred method.

  3. the most useful, though, a temporary decision for you, i believe, would be to get and antibody test (it should cost ~25€). it will give you a 60 day immunity and a certificate if sputnik vaccine was effective (I’m not an expert on effectiveness here, ’cause I’m not sure how much of this is just politics).

also, i am not really sure if you could get the national gpasas quick enough, as it is based on an online health system, which you are not a member of. i suppose, you could go to a health care facility (called poliklinika) and get registered as a patient and you’ll get assigned to a family doctor. you’ll probably need a doctor in upcoming years anyway, so just pick any poliklinika closest to you (you can read how to become a patient on renkuosilietuva.lt).

my question is if gpasas is necessary for you? for example, the cafes accept gpasas, as well as the EU certificate, antibody tests or negative covid tests now. gpasas is just an easier option that shows that you’re kinda safe and is easy to check. i believe, the university should be able to accept other ways of proving that people have immunity. however, there probably will be people who won’t get vaccinated, so they’ll probably have an opportunity to participate online.

    take care and stay safe!

  4. I don’t have anything to add because all of the comments seem to be very well thought out and informative, but I just wanted to thank you for being so responsible!! We need more people like you
