This is like saying that you re occasional athlete while you twice a year ride your electric bike.
Many Czechs are religious or believe in “something”, but majority certainly doesn’t like organized religion as institution or some kind of authority. So it’s actually not that strange.
Seems to be working as intended then, why would atheists care about the religion of others? that’s what religious people do.
as long as they don’t defenestrate anyone. Last time they did it, it didn’t end well for most of those involved.
Nation of atheists yelling about defending of their Christian traditions (from time to time)
From what I’ve seen in this ‘nation of atheists’ beliefs in horoscopes, witches and fortune telling and things like that are quite widespread. So Czechs maybe aren’t particularly Christian, but they believe in “something”.
Not that uncommon. Austria is also mostly non-corrupt and still consistently votes in corrupt people.
So because half of cabinet consists of members of Christian church, we have Christian government? That’s ridiculous.
Edit: Also Halík shouldn’t be listened to. Atheism is lack of belief in deities and “dogmatic atheist” is not a thing.
With Czech beer?
What paradox?
The article implies that all atheists are supposed to think the same. That is wrong.
in Bulgaria, yesterday we had anti-vax protest promoted by one of the party in the parliament. Turned out half of their members are vaccinated. When asked they reply “i did it to protect my family”.

This is how we roll. Our nationalist party is led by [Japanese](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomio_Okamura).
