Chester is a city in England, the land is owned by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Eligible for support… Nahh you’re English.
Eligible for draconian rules… Aye you’re Welsh.
Strange they’re Welsh when there’s no money involved.
The matches would all have been advertised, if the Welsh police found the time to stop people on their way to work or the shops, they could have gone to stop people going to a football match if they’d really wanted to.
Should probably not have built the stadium in Wales if they’re an English club then…bit daft and arrogant that was.
So they pay rates to Flintshire Council and received £25k in covid grants from them, all but the letter box of their ground is in Wales, and it’s unfair that they’re asked to abide by Welsh rules?
It’s not the first time Chester FC have had to adopt Welsh rules. When the smoking ban came in Wales in 2004 CFC adopted it despite being an English club as they know their ground is in Wales
Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham, and Merthyr all play in the English leagues and abide by Welsh rules when playing at home, but can take fans away when they play in England. Strangely and IMO wrong, The New Saints who are in England and play in the Cymru Premier also abide by Welsh rules and aren’t allowed to have fans
TLDR: Don’t build your ground in Wales is you don’t want to follow Welsh laws innit
