  1. So 47 of the traitors are not from Southern states. I don’t see how that is a win for Northern States at all.

  2. Only good thing about Trump is people have taken off their masks of civility and showing us who they really are.

  3. It’s not a lost cause if they win. I think it all rides on this next presidential election. Scary as hell

  4. and for those 70 it’s not about politics nor the constituents, it’s all about power, greed and sustaining the grift normalized by Diaper Donny

  5. Southerners (some) have extraordinary difficulty in understanding that they have value as humans simultaneously with other humans. They attempt to degrade and dehumanize all but whites in an attempt to make themselves feel superior over all others. We are all supposed to help one another; not tear one another down. Some of these Southerners and many in rural America just don’t get it.

  6. I’m from the south and not everyone is like this. But I agree with this article. Same bonehead mentality that led us to a Civil War.

  7. The Civil War never ended. The South just changed strategy and chose to play the long game instead. And we fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

  8. And we will whoop that ass again if they want to fafo. Only this time we will strip their right to vote. Fuck traitors and their kin

  9. The worst thing to ever happen to the US was allowing the states that seceded back into the nation with full representation. If they wanted to be independent and failed they can have 2 House members and 2 Senate seats. Think how far our country could’ve progressed without the anchor of southern bigotry & racism pulling us down.

  10. As a Southerner, I am appalled at the number of Southerners who have been conned by a Yankee con-man.

  11. Grew up in the South. Incredibly sad that that region has retained its backward viewpoints, uneducated opinions, and barely-concealed racism…not to mention poverty.

And reluctantly, the South has a disproportionate political influence.

It’s not a good chapter in the history of the USA.

  12. They’re insurrectionists, disband and bar the Republican party from political office.

  13. Reminder that Southern states are the states with the most voter suppression and gerrymandering. Reminder that the DNC has essentially abandoned the South to let it be taken over by Republicans.

  14. Education and critical thinking are America’s lost cause.

  15. They should have let General Sherman finish the job.

  16. I’ve been saying for four years that Trump banners are the new Confederate flags

  17. I don’t hate the south,

I have no plans to work, live, travel, or spend money in the south, but I don’t hate it

  18. Tennessee here. Hi, everybody!

The sad thing is we have a great many people down here who absolutely know what’s up and totally oppose the conservative agenda. The problem is we are swimming in a sea of voter apathy. If we could somehow motivate our populations to actually get off their asses and vote, the political landscape would look a lot different.

  19. Not only are coup attempts no big deal to these people but they apparently are dying to get their SS and Medicare cut too, rather than tax a billionaire a nickel more.

  20. That’s 60%. 40% are from other than southern states. When you overlay where Republicans come from, I think you’ll find that the majority of them come from Southern states, meaning that this number just reflects that Republicans in general are willing to embrace this in order to get elected/stay in power.

  21. you mean the states that receive the most federal aid per capita? i live in the south and never seen a dumber bunch of adult white men and women.
