> A tragedy took place in Bolintin Vale, where, on Sunday, January 9, a maxi taxi driver was hit with a stone in the head by a member of an ethnic clan. Soon after, the man died at the hospital, his death causing a riot among all the people. On Wednesday, more than 350 locals gathered in front of the City Hall to demand protection against the Roma ethnic group who frequently threaten their safety.
> **Special Forces were called in to intervene to ensure peace**
> Huge scandal after the innocent death of a maxi taxi driver, who refused to take in the car a man known for his violence against his peers. Annoyed by the driver’s refusal, the individual created the context of an altercation between the man and his group of friends, culminating in hitting the driver with a stone in the head. He was rushed to hospital, but due to the extremely aggressive impact, the man later died.
> Outraged by the tragic event that left two children orphaned by their father, the locals went out to demand the right to safety, calling for serious action against the Roma community that often attacks citizens, committing various crimes such as stopping traffic and requesting a “protection fee” as well as other assaults…..

Well life sentences for all the stone throwers should be a good start
makes sense to stand up for the safety of taxi drivers
Still, Romania is a much better place to live, now, than for example Lebanon – or, even places like Kuwait and Dubai, where the hazards are in much worse shape.
