Looks like they’ll be surface-to-surface missiles for use on patrol boats (recently sold to them by the US.)
I guess there’s a worry the Russians will try to muscle in on Ukraine’s naval EEZ. Whatever the case, their strategic position has been greatly weakened by NordStream 2 (thanks Merkel 👍)
I have weird messenger, I don’t love anyone
Russia: we must defend ourselves against Ukraine who is defending thmselves from us.
I think generally we are fine with this. It will be good to capture some British Brimstone missiles sometime and analyse them. We capture these patrol boats every other year in the Kerch straight anyway.
The winter is coming, and our Ukraine’s government is buying missiles while a lot of ordinary Ukrainians are about to freeze with no fuel coz of constant rising gas and oil prices. In this case, our European partners are in no hurry to help us balance gas and oil market as they expect deficits themselves.
