Insulate Britain protester released from jail would ‘absolutely’ block M25 again

  1. They should have blocked the roads by making it look like a queue for petrol, back then people were waiting hours for that stuff with little issue

  2. I am not entirely against this. The UK building standards are woefully inadequate and (based on what I have seen, so anecdote) about 45 years behind the likes of Germany.

All I would say is that if IB want to block arterial routes is that they work with police to allow emergency vehicles to pass as unimpeded as possible.

Yes, IB might be inconvenient but they are far less inconvenient that catastrophic climate change. Which is where the gormless chumps in charge are taking us.

  3. I don’t understand how they think the sacrifice they’re making will have a tangible effect on the world. It seems more of a spiritual action.

  4. Instead of sitting down, they should set up “buses” of people to walk along the M25 and go places where they would want to go. For one it’s easier to get out the way in case a loony runs you over and also you’ll get to a destination. I’d be more inclined to join if it took me halfway to wherever I happened to be going. I’m not going to stop if I’m in a rush

  5. There have always been protests.
    There will always be protests.
Authoritarians have always tried to ban protest.
    Keep on protesting.
