The Prince of Brunei’s Amazing Ten-Day-Long Wedding

Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei has married his fiancée Anisha Rosnah in a lavish ten-day-long ceremony.

Known as ‘Asia’s most eligible bachelor’, his fans were surprised when the prince announced his engagement in December. Prince Abdul Mateen is the fourth son of the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III.

The happy bride is from a prominent Bruneian family, and her brother is thought to be a childhood friend of the prince. She studied at the University of Bath in the UK, and went on to become a fashion designer and entrepreneur.

Tuesday will mark the end of the ten-day wedding ceremony. The last nine days have been packed full of solemn ceremonies and prayers, as well as lavish celebrations.

While Prince Abdul Mateen is only sixth in line to the throne he’s gained prominence in recent years by accompanying his father on diplomatic missions.

Sunday’s ceremony was followed by a parade through the streets of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei’s capital city.

    Every country is different and has it 's own traditions.
    So no one doesn't need to judge at all 😊

  32. they should give out some of the money to the hospitals or the people who are on the streets with no where to lay their heads.

  33. I could care less about this…….knowing how the people in this country live in poverty. Why not take the money spent for days 2-10 and distribute to the sick and poor and homeless…then I could be happy for the couple!
