  1. I’ve been in the area and smelt something odd like a distant fire. Hopefully the exhibits and people are safe.

  2. It can’t be that bad. I live right in the neighbourhood and haven’t even heard any sirens!

  3. Were there just yesterday to hit the two great temporary exhibits. I’m sure they’ll sort it out quickly.

  4. Oh god, I hope they can control it without too much damage. I love that museum to bits and I was hoping to take family in March.

  5. I agree! There are some really good pieces in there at the moment!

  6. Would much rather that the other one go on fire, given a choice.

  7. Is there actually a fire or just a drill? Theres nothing in the news about this.

  8. Is it actually on fire or did a fire alarm just go off?

I feel like if there was a real fire it would be all over Twitter / news etc

  9. When I saw the headline, I didn’t realize there was an actual fire. I went into the comments to see what the hot new exhibition was that is causing the long queues 🤣.

  10. hopefully everyone is safe; and the preraphaelites too 🙁

  11. There’s no fire, apart from this post (which is a bin-fire).

  12. Thought this was some sort of Tik Tok review extolling the wonders of Tate Britain like they just discovered it.

  13. Tracy Emin burning her nickers … It’s a new exhibition.

  14. That is a scary headline.

Could you please give us any more specific details?

  15. What is wrong with people wishing the Tate Modern catches fire instead?! No one is being forced to go there. You don’t even have to pay to get in, if you choose to do so. Just unnecessarily hateful. Sad lives. Not your taste, don’t go.
