   US companies like Apple moved to China because labor was cheap, that’s 100% true. Then China saw all the manufacturing needs and ramped up those vocations in schools.

   NOW labor in China is more expensive because as all companies moved manufacturing to China, labor could charge more for the high demand.

   Tim Cook is one slimmy lying POS.

   Producing in china costs more than it costs in ethiopia, a lot more, because they are also decently skilled now

5. He’s lying it’s cheap labor. Plus Apple mark up is about 90% profit, They used to charge like $50 for a cable before USB C which they did not want. Engineers are not putting phones together. You can get a good Motorolla phone with 5G free from many carriers or some cost only $200. All the makers go there because it’s cheap. People think Apple is a status symbol because they are overcharged.

7. Gee it’s too bad Apple can’t afford to fund American education, like open a couple of tooling focused university departments and offer some scholarships.

11. If you need a football field full of skilled tooling people to manufacture something, than you have not fine tuned the machines in your assembly line to be sophisticated enough to be operated by low skilled people.

    Skill is something you nurture and pay for. While China might nurture skill, it certainly doesn’t pay well for it.

    This dude knows he’s weakening his own country by not providing the opportunities for US citizens to use or gain those skills because US citizens want to be recognized for their skills and paid appropriately.

    He’s just another self-serving corporate liar…seems being sociopathic is a job requirement at that level.

    That bullshit is why I won’t buy any Apple products whatsoever.
