“Despite critical wear and tear and a series of emergencies, the central Russian government is planning drastic reductions in spending on housing and utility infrastructure.
The Russian federal budget for 2024-2026 indicates that funding for the housing and utilities sector will be cut by more than half”.
Summary: Moscow and the Kremlin don’t give a damn about the rest of Russia and Russian citizens but themselves.
Get fucked Russians.
I bet you Putin did intentionally to try to blame it on the Ukrainians and get the Russians to join the war in some way. This just shows Russia is losing.
GOP want to follow the Russian oligarchs playbook and plunder the shit out of public finds here.
Is this accurate? This sounds like the false propaganda Russia has been saying about Europe since the start of their war. Perhaps Russia was preparing the citizens for a new definition of normality.
🤣🤣🤣
Oh no!
Anyway.
Joking aside, that sucks. But Russians should know what to do when the government no longer serves their interests.
That is a real shame.
Old people need to go on already…. These 70-80 year olds couldn’t even drive if they had too.
have they eaten the hamster?

Half of Russia without utilities—the other half owned by Putin and thankfully, working perfectly.
Russia: Were going to hit infrastructure so Ukraine Freezes this winter
Ukraine: Uno Reverse
Wamp wamp
I know people have little or no sympathy for Russians, but they are the biggest victims of Putin’s rule. As a Ukrainian-American my allegiance is probably obvious, but I do not celebrate the misery the Russian people suffer as a result of the war or the abuse of power Putin wields every day. Never become so heartless as to believe that the people paying the price for Putin’s crimes deserve it. The Russian people have suffered for generations under brutal regimes since the time of the Tsars, through the Soviet period, and now under Putin. They deserve better because they are humans.
Yall remember that twitch stream of some Russian leaving his gas stove on all night? From last winter when Europe had really high gas prices due to the war. Bet we won’t be seeing that again.
And all this without Ukraine lifting a finger. No need for them to get involved while putin seems determined to destroy his own country.
meanwhile half of ukraine is dealing with ethnic cleansing and war caused by russia
My cs2 games had unfortunately seen no benefit from this
Damn, only half..
everyone that did the maintenance on that ancient soviet infrastructure already died in ukraine. instead of calling it a war and mobilizing the youth, they secretly mobilized the older generation and minorities from the other annexed regions of russia, especially the non-white ones (basically genocide, no?), and sent them to their deaths. but the commie-block heating is old soviet tech and I’m sure most of the guys maintaining that stuff was old. they’re already having issues with staffing in general, and I’m sure this sort of thing is only the beginning of their future struggles
putler is really digging himself in a hole
1) What is anticipated? How much if any is this above normal?
2) This is a great way to solve worker shortages. Just reduce the budgets. Smaller budgets = less work. So people get laid off to hopefully find another job or end up getting drafted.
I thought it was the west that was supposed to freeze?? We all seem to be fine this winter and last.
so is Canada.
Russia: Europe will freeze this winter.
Also Russia:
Sucks for them. I’m guessing the missiles they’re launching on Ukraine are expensive.
But I thought we Europeans were the ones living without heating water and power while they are enjoying these luxuries! /s
r/worldnews is so strange, time after time I go in and read fake news, time after time I read strange comments written as if by bots
for example this news. If you switch the site’s language to Russian, the title will read not “half of Russia,” but “Half of Russia’s regions.”
Let me explain, there are 89 regions in Russia, each of which is as large as a European country. And no one would be surprised by the news that in half of the regions of Russia accidents occur somewhere every year. Because in half of the US states accidents occur every year etc. But this is Ukrainian propaganda, and this is classic Reddit, no one cares about truth.
Can putin tell that joke about a german child asking if he is russian because he is freezing now? 😃
Super. Hope it gets worse. Karma’s a bitch, innit RuZZians?
Russians are apathetic and sturdy, but there’s going to come a moment where they are either going to die freezing in their homes, or die revolting against Putin and his cronies. And that’s when the real soul of Russians will be judged.
Shucks.
Anyone got that parody video they made of a Brit suffering lack of heating…?
Good thing they’ve seen the value in being a cooperative member of a thriving international community, so they have many friends they can turn to in time of n… what’s that? Oh, never mind.
Complain? Not in Russia
Tja
Oh but no, the war in Ukraine is more important.
I’m looking for a tiny violin 🎻
Seems like a good time for Ukraine to start a long range drone bombing campaign aimed at power stations.
Remember when they said Ukraine would be suffering like this? Fuck them
I wonder if we will see history repeating itself yet again. The Russian empire was engaged in a war and its citizens revolted and put in the communist (after a civil war). The communist was engaged in a war in Afghanistan and spent everything they had until they collapsed. Now we have Russia engaged in yet another costly war and now its citizens are feeling the effects of a terrible infrastructure. Is the start of yet another Russian government’s death? I have no idea but it certainly seems to be following its predecessors footsteps.
Let them eat cake.
