  1. It’s rather annoying that you have people once again trying to take the statement of the Smith Commission out of context. At least they bothered to include the whole statement this time.

Still, the vote was never likely to pass. Very much a stunt.

  2. Not sure why they would devolve powers for a referendum they know they’d lose?

  3. If Labour were genuinely interested in Scotland, they could offer

‘People of Scotland, vote for Labour and change, and after say 3 years we’ll offer you an independence referendum, which we’re sure you’ll vote against because Labour wants to bring the whole country together.’

But no, it’s ‘Vote Labour and Unionist, no referendum and even if labour wins in 5 years time you’ll get stuck with a right wing Tory government who’ll privatise your health service and abolish the state pension.’

Scottish Labour 😱 not worth mentioning.

  4. It’s been dead for 10 years. Why are scotstremists still banging on this tired auld drum. It’s been settled already, with democracy. Someone is paying for all this wasted effort. I assume they have snow on their boots.

  5. Scottish unionists.

Deny democracy because they utterly fear the answer and convince themselves ” the majority ” agree with them.

Isn’t it funny how we had a devolution ref. After Thatcher pissed on the result of the FIRST devolution ref.

The same unionists on here would have been both utterly pissed off we had another one and even more pissed off devolution was voted for and enacted second time around( so no more polls, just to be safe, eh ?)

You can hear them and Westminster quaking with fear, knowing what the answer will be next time it comes.
