This particular battle taught me how tough these fuckers are. Russia should have learned here.
Guess they didn’t
242 days of defending
God Tier Soldiers.
Is there more backstory and/or footage?
Thought for sure they were gonna blow their buddies head off firing full auto right behind him like that
Did anyone survive from this?

Imagine taking you 3 months, 3 weeks and 2 days to capture a single, unarmed in aircraft airport’s terminal building. Pathetic.
These fucking guys! They never broke or quit. I believe that I was watching videos of them on apacheclips.com back then in 2014.
2014- don’t lose that important bit- Russia just wants what it wants, and that is all of Ukraine, for now.
RIP Warriors! Much respect!
They held on against Russia’s best and then Russia just pulled back and used artillery until the airport was totally destroyed. Cyborgs best of the best.
Heroes
I meet a girl who was getting supplies for the cyborgs. I gave all my medical supplies that I had ( just came back from the Afghanistan ). I hope that my gear saved some lives. Received pictures from medics who went there. Have no contact with them anymore.
God bless these warriors🙏
“Today we remember the defenders of the Donetsk airport.
10 years ago, defenders of the DAP wrote a new heroic page in the history of the Ukrainian military.
For 244 days, the boys held the resort, which was shot through by the enemy.244 days of titanic resistance, during which the enemy himself called the fighters “cyborgs”.
244 days of hard battles that showed the whole world that Ukrainians are an indomitable nation.
The occupiers never managed to break the resistance of the cyborgs, they simply destroyed all the buildings.
People endured, concrete did not.
Honor to all soldiers who went through the crucible of battles for the airport.
Eternal tribute to the fallen heroes.”

This video [93 Battle For Ukraine](https://youtu.be/1cMBPN3rjXU?si=E38InHQWpBiDtvN0) covers the beginning stages of the 2014 war, it also covers this battle too. I recommend the watch as it also has a map to follow, interviews, and overall good footage.
And it’s a 2 part series
Was the airport taken back in 2015?
Apparently this actually scared the Russians shitless.
Took nearly a full year for them to clear the airport out and in the end they had to pretty much drop the airport on top of them because they just wasn’t moving.
Russian spestnaz was there, Alexey milchakov was also there.
Legends.
We have a saying about these guys in Ukraine, roughly translates “they withstood the pressure, the concrete of the building did not”. Just means that russians managed to collapse the airport before actually getting through the Cyborgs
Well Russia is winning whether you think so or not.
Goosebumps…
truly WARRIORS!!!
