Hi Everyone,
I am trying to evaluate what would be the net salary for different gross salaries in Bulgaria, below you can find my calculation using on of the calculator I found online:
|Country (Gross Salary ->)|2000 EUR|3500 EUR|5000 EUR|Source|Notes|
|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|
|🇧🇬 Bulgaria (Net Salary -> )|1562.36 EUR (\~78%)|2912.48 EUR (\~83%)|4262.62 EUR (\~85%)|[https://kik-info.com/trz/zaplata-bruto.php](https://kik-info.com/trz/zaplata-bruto.php)|1 Euro = 1.96 BGN LEV (17.01.2024)|
Is this really correct? If you earn more you pay less taxes? Is the social insurance (health, retirement etc) deduced?

You have a cap on social insurance taxes above 3700BGN and all you pay is income tax, that’s 10%.
Social is up to 3750лв., after that it’s only income tax.
You won’t get your salary in euro, after conversion with https://kik-info.com/trz/zaplata-bruto.php seems right
Yeah, Bulgaria has the lowest taxes in EU. Even though they increased the maximum taxable income to 1800euro this year and will probably gradually increase it more and more.
1 Euro is always 1.96 BGN 😀
