In today’s Russian papers: “Turkish banks refusing to work with Russian banks”, “export price of Russian coal falling”, “China given control of Russia’s car market.”, “Russians losing interest in news & political TV shows”.

  1. If Reddit taught me anything, it’s that Russian media is only capable of lies and propaganda. So we should believe the opposite of everything here, right?

  2. “After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, fate gave Russia a unique chance to overcome the indifference and contemptuous sluggish thinking of bureaucrats. Here it seemed was an invaluable opportunity to restore our sovereignty in car production. To invest money, develop Russian factories, build the whole technological chain here at home without foreign manufacturers. But it wasn’t to be. Instead of phasing out imports, our industry bosses began sucking up to Chinese copanies as enthusiastically as they had done to Europe, Japanese and Korean companies.”

That’s the literal essence of Russian culture and society: find the guy with the stuff and sell your soul for it.

  3. There is no news about Russian Banks in local news sources in Turkey.

  4. This is only a problem for the newspapers if they independently decided to print this information, and the powers that be did not want that information to be printed. This could well be a calculated release of information, aimed at shifting public opinion in a direction that will appreciate a tougher line towards Turkey and China.

  5. Good. Good.

Former Russian Empire, now called the Chinese raw material repository
