10. Some of these robbers have such cunning ways. I was hug mugged once in a London bar. Pretty girl came and talked to me, sat on my lap etc, 5 minutes later my shiny expensive watch had gone missing. Hope their hands fall off 😇

11. I like it but I feel like expensive watches will, or should be insured, and when it is stolen it has zero impact on the victims ability to live their life. They are also only owned by a zen diagram of rich and materialistic people (no one needs a £4k watch, let alone £100k. My £100 Fitbit tells me the time, my heart rate, where my phone is, can change Spotify… ).

    A bike or a car being stolen might stop someone getting to work. Burglaries aren’t being investigated. A police officer kidnapped and murdered someone three years ago. I dunno, I’m torn. Good to see scumbags get tackled on the tarmac though.

15. This is good news obviously, but how many people wear luxury watches? I’d much rather see bike thieves being dealt with because that affects much more people, mostly ordinary working people, in London. Currently it’s like it’s not even a crime to steal a bike with how easy it is for the thieves to get away with it.

    That’s not to say that it won’t be a traumatic experience for a person to get mugged for their expensive watch, and it’s good that those thieves are being caught. I just wonder where the priorities are.

21. I just don’t understand why you would put 60k on your arm and walk around just to show off. If it’s an investment leave it in a safe in the house. I also don’t understand why people still walk around with a £1000 phone just holding it for a thief to snatch and run.

    Good police work, make an example of them now.
