  1. If retaliatory charges are found to be a thing that can insulate one from prosecution, I wonder what effect that would have on past convictions.

  2. She’s not making it easy for herself:

“A few weeks later, on Nov. 16, Gutierrez Reed was indicted on a charge of carrying a firearm in a liquor establishment, a fourth degree felony. According to the indictment, she brought a gun into the Matador, a Santa Fe dive bar, on Oct. 1, 2021, about 10 days after the shooting.”

  3. Source of Live Bullet?

    That’s easy!

That would be Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, recorded live at Cobo Hall in Detroit Mi in 1976.

  4. A) I thought they already knew the source of the live bullet. Wasn’t the tray/box of bullets she sourced have live bullets accidentally mixed in with the non live rounds?? Her culpability lays in that she never properly checked each of these before loading the gun and rather relied on her (inaccurate) knowledge that all the bullets in that box/tray weren’t live.

    B) I have to agree with her lawyer here. She’s clearly being retaliated against for using her right to remain silent. I think she’s super culpable but that doesn’t mean the prosecutors can do whatever they want. Charge her with what she’s guilty of.

(I use sourced because it was unclear if she bought them or was given them but another gun person involved in the industry.)

  5. The worst thing about this case is David Halls slap on the wrist sentence. He was clearly the main culprit here.
