Sadly, seems like whomever they were shooting at got totally destroyed. If not by the bullets than the explosion.

It always amazes me how destructive vehicle explosions are. Even taking out an enemy vehicle, poses a massive risk of collateral damage to your own troops. They’re like bombs with wheels and guns on them. It must be nerve-racking to be a passenger in one of these things.

For those who believe in reincarnation, that explosion would have even killed what they were hoping to be born next as.

The terror of watching this thing approaching your position, the relief of watching it disintegrate, and the terror of watching the giant fireball approaching your position.

The BMP-3 specifically is renowned for causing the biggest explosions. An alluminum armored IFV filled with 100mm ammo is bound to detonate.

The title makes me laugh because it makes it sound like the BMP was engaging the big bad trees.

This is what happens when you let a teenager with ADHD design the weaponry for an IFV: it’s got everything on it and as such is packed with ammo for all those weapons, including 40 100mm shells and 8 ATGMs. Yes they can play ‘take that nazi treeline muh huh huh huh’ but when the treeline fires back all those shells are going to go up like a small VBIED.
