Douglas Costa had a crazy run in his first stint here, he was so fun to watch
Totally agree! I second Ivan, lovely player and a work horse!
Some other players I fondly remember are: Patrik Andersson, Nils Petersen and Luca Toni, although 3 seasons isn’t that short I remember wanting him to stay longer!
Perisic for me as well, he was absolutely amazing in 2020. insanely versatile along the wings
Even though not strictly speaking on the team I would say Pep Guardiola. It was amazing that we were able to have him here for three years. And even though three years is a decent spell for a manager, any amount of time having this legend on board is too short. I would have loved to have had him around longer.
Mandzukic?
Harry Kane, IMO. tbf, his stint is far from over but this is my opinion as of noe
I’d say Mandzukic, was only here for 2 years but I loved his playing style and personality
Everyone deservedly remembers Arjens goal against Dortmund but he scored in that final too, so I actually don’t think we would’ve won the CL and in conclusion the treble without him
Xabi Alonso was just so damn cool on and off the pitch.
Also, while four years isn‘t exactly a short amount of time, Roy Makaay’s stint always seemed way longer to me.
Maybe because I was a kid back then, but in my mind he banged them in for like 10 years.
Xabi Alonso. Absolutely love that this gives us an equal chance to sign him as coach as his other ex clubs.
Perisic, Mandzukic, Xabi
Schapapapa!
Alonso, Mandžukić
The favorite ones have been mentioned quite a bit… so here’s a rarely mentioned but equally as deserving… Dante
Shaqiri
imo podolski… but I think the majority will not agree with this one
I would say cancelo was really decent and it’s a shame we didn’t sign him
Luca Toni
Patrik Andersson, Brian Laudrup, Adolfo Valencia, Klinsmann (as a player), Luca Toni, and Schapapapa. And certainly Trappatoni, if we’re counting managers.
Pep Guardiola
I really liked watching coutinho play.
Xabi Alonso. He was always one of my favorite players and when he joined, I was overjoyed. I went to the stadium more frequently during that time and watching him play… so strategic, so simple, so elegant. I‘m happy for him that he’s doing so well at Leverkusen. They can gladly win the DFB Pokal, I even wish it. But the Schale must belong to us…
Roy Makaay
Sebastian Deisler
Holger Badstuber
Mario Goetze
Hansi Flick
Sebastian Deisler. Wiggerl Kögl.
**TOLISSO** and Shaqiri. I like them both way too much for the impact they had on our team. Specifically Tolisso, I thought he was going to be *our guy*. Unfortunate really.
Started supporting Bayern in 2012, so my answer can only be Mandzukic
Oddly enough, all 3 are Croatians I thought of immediately.
Ivica Olic, Mario Mandzukic and Ivan Perisic.
Eric Dier
I’m only a Bayern fan at all because I was bandwagoning Miro Klose around from team to team.
