Hello, I used Helsinki airport to make a transfer during my trip to Japan 3 months ago. By the way, I ate cake at the airport and forgot to ask the name of the cake. But I took a photo of it. Can you send me the link with the detailed recipe of the cake in this photo?
I would say carrotcake, but (and I’m afraid to even imagine) maybe it is some kind of weird frankenstein of a Runebergin torttu?
Carrot cake, as many people have pointed out.
It’s definitely carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and chopped hazelnuts, it’s very popular in Finland. The frosting has lots of powdered sugar and some lemonjuice so it does not taste like cream cheese.
It is carrot cake and there usyally are little almond pieces on top of it
