I can totally see 2 and 4 being intentional. People did similar things in Russia with blue and yellow.
This was also how it was done in communist Romania. You’d get ,,lifted” (as an arrest requires a judge’s warrant) by the militia, thrown into a jail and beaten for years.
I remember the last time I visited Belarus my grandma specifically warned me to not dare clap or I’ll be taken away. I think it was around 2010 or 2011 or something.
