Neat. Looks like it abandons the wheels? Obviously they’re not needed on a kamikaze, but what if you gotta land?
More vulnerable to MANPADS due to higher IR signature than moped prop drones? More expensive/complicated to build than prop version? Less range per gallon gas than prop. versions? What are the advantages really, power to weight maybe?
Show offs! It just needs to get there and blow up, not do aerobatics!
Conards really make it maneuverable. Possibly a good drone interceptor.
Imagine if they put a 40mm grenade dispenser on the belly and carpet bombed while buzzing a Russian trench.
This would be great for the orc’s power stations, boiler plants etc. that probably are not being overly protected from drones, or could be used as decoys to draw SAM fire and then allow for counter battery strikes.
Wow
Let me fly it to Moscow. I played that GTA mission with the god damn RC so focking much
V1 with Canard wings
Geil. Die Jungs geben sich Mühe
Fantastic. This can also be used to lure the SAM-systems to turn on their radar and reveal their position.
Because it moves faster than the common drone, on radar it might look like something else.
A single use jet engine! God, war is such a waste…
Rocket propulsion is better for liftoff imo. No need to play with gears, findinf strips etc. Shorter time to deploy. Bad design, but UA is learning, which is good. Without foreign support its hard to design stuff like this. already on Irans level (while Iran worked on their drones for 10 years, UA started last year)
So when does it become a cruise missle?
I honestly think the Ukrainians will next come out with their own super sonic drone built with parts from downed Russian planes
See, I’m thinking one of these could sneak up on an A-50.
Sounds expensive for an expendable bomb drone.
> Kamikadze
Sounds like a Georgian drone to me.
Well this explains why Ukraine is making FPV drones factories, they’re already busy with different kinds of drones.
Comradkazie drone.
Hoe much explosives can it carry with that het engine powering it? Big Kabooms for sure
Jet engines use a lot more fuel for distance covered, right? Even the small ones? Is there actually much of a benefit to using a jet engine for a drone besides potential speed and thrust? I guess that’s good for reducing reaction time, but They seem to sacrifice a lot of potential weight and distance and are more expensive. The prop drones can already go super fast for such small objects.
I guess it works as a miniaturized and cheaper cruise missile though. And such a thing would certainly have its place.
INTERESTING……:) SLAVA UKRAINI!
Bravo!
Would you call this ingenuity or defiance?
I didn’t read the title before watching, and at first I thought it was a stretcher that was accepting rapidly. I just thought “what the fuck are the Russians up to now?”
That’s awesome 👌. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🇺🇲 🇺🇦 keep up the good work Hero’s 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻
Woth the right payload that will be devastating to a vip target. Slava
This is not a simplistic buzz bomb, but obviously built for manoeuvrability. It flies like a platform for a smart weapon.
Imagine they worked a Javelin system onto something like an FPV drone or one of these. I’m positive they could at least operate the targeting system with a few servos and an extra video link to target with the IR sight screen. They seem mostly like you aim at the target and press a few buttons to fire and forget. Then again I don’t know anything beyond whats reported in media so maybe I’m wrong.
The Kerch bridge would be ideal for the next phase of testing its capabilities.
