Captain Tom’s daughter’s company has seen a massive financial drop

  1. I’m torn on this one.

Do I go with Behold the field in which I grow my fucks. Lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren.

Or something to do with the world’s smallest violin?

  2. Shame on this country for showing no respect to this hero’s family.

  3. I she’s done the honest thing and donated some to the Conservative party she would have been able to keep the rest and build anything in her garden

  4. I’m more interested in the story that appeared at the side, “Woman has hamster stuffed to look like a pole dancer with notes in its G-string”

    Much more interesting.

  5. Here before the reddit intellectuals come here asking why we care as if this isn’t a case of someone stealing charity donations from a dead man and buying personal luxuries with it.

  6. She needs to get another older relative out in the garden doing laps again.

  7. I and many others called her out as a grifter when her father was still alive.

How she got away with as much as she did is beyond me.

  8. As distasteful as she seems to be there doesn’t really appear to be a story here.

Assets have fallen from £482,268 to £336,300 so – £146k

Meanwhile the amount due to creditors has fallen from £184,513 to £31,990 so £152k

So basically they’ve paid the debt and taken £6k out of the business (as well as taking out whatever came in during the period). There’s no “massive financial drop”, they’ve just paid down the debts and the books are almost as balanced as they were before, literally virtually no change in the underlying financial situation.

The really is a non-event of a story. I do wish journalists would not write this crap without first understanding it.

  9. Maybe she could do a few laps up and down the driveway to raise some awareness.

  10. Didn’t Bowie sing about him? My bad it was major Tom

  11. The knighthood, planes flying over, a book, an album, a children’s book, free holiday, media frenzy, Piers Morgan in rapture – all because a 90 something was walking circles in their back garden for “charity” (the fact that the NHS isn’t a charity and is consistently under funded as a side note). It was utterly ridiculous then and remains so.

  12. Well thanks to us she isn’t short of money, new spa anyone?

  13. That’s odd, I wanted to improve my public image and was thinking of employing them. What’s the problem? Are they not very good at it?

  14. Mad he keeps being called Captain Tom. Convention is that you don’t “keep” your rank upon retirement unless you are a Senior Officer, I.e Major and above.

  15. Is this a good or bad thing?

If the company has lost money then it has less money to give back to the charity if (when) it’s found that it was dishonest to give the 3 books profits to a company instead of using it for charity. I’d be looking at where the money had actually gone. Some was to pay back creditors but it looks like some was for the company’s 2 employees (possibly their 2 directors, INGRAM-MOORE, David Colin and INGRAM-MOORE, Hannah Melissa).

They lost money in the 21/22FY as well.

  16. This cretin had the opportunity to continue doing good in this world in the name of her father, for which his efforts and actions landed exposure on a world stage.

She could have made her father proud, but has instead pissed on his grave in the name of greed.

Of course they’ve seen a massive financial drop. Making yourself a director of a charity which paid handsomely to then build a spa in your backyard is a two finger salute towards the generosity of this nation.

**Edit** – ah yes, downvoted by an imbecile on this sub, surprise there.

    Do some [reading](https://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/23850895.captain-toms-daughter-admits-pocketing-800k-death/#:~:text=Last%20month%2C%20it%20was%20revealed,the%20latest%20accounts%20were%20released.).

    > Last month, it was revealed that Captain Tom’s daughter was receiving a salary of £70,000 (as well as expenses) from her role as interim chief executive officer of the charity after the latest accounts were released.

    > The accounts reveal that for the first nine months from August 2021 to April 2022, Hannah Ingram-Moore had received a gross salary of £63,750.

    > She also received £7602 in expenses for travel and other costs between June 2021 and November 2022.

    > It was also found that £24,000 was paid in expense payments for office rentals, and telephone bills to Maytrix Group Limited, a company owned by her and her husband.

This lead to the Charity Commission launching an inquiry.

But hey, don’t stop yourself from downvoting because you don’t know how to use a search engine.

  17. I’m waiting for the autobiography, you know she’s so detached from reality that it’s coming.

  18. The fact that title doesn’t mention her name, or the name of company, just some guy named Tom tells me everything I need to know.

Meaning, nothing interesting or meaningful. Nothing at all.
