Hey folks. Might be a daft question and definitely not the most important at the minute, but I’m just over a month off the fegs after 6 years and it’s been tough. Maybe I’m yank-ish in my thinking, but is there like an equivalent anywhere around Belfast to alcoholics anonymous but for tobacco/smokers?
Just feel like it might be easier to have people to chat to. I have the wee app and using it to keep me accountable, but everytime I smell tobacco or I see someone smoking on the TV I feel like I need one, or when I get stressed out of my bollocks which is more often than not these days.
Thanks in advance lads and remember to take ‘er handy

I’m up to about 60 a day. Six months ago, I was down to one before bed.
I’ve never felt more ill. It’s class and I hate it.
What app are you using to track?
Can’t help with any resources but fair play for sticking with it.
as a former smoker, your lungs start to recover and you feel soooo much better. I used to get a chest infection any time I got any sort of cold/flu but not anymore. My general health is noticeably better.
Part of my motivation to avoid temptation is I know that even one smoke will fuck up those cilia that help clear your lungs. Plus the nicotine hit will reset the withdrawals and craving so you’re back to square one and need to go through those shitty weeks/months again.
