I don’t know what’s more surprising to me, the fact that Pauly Shore got a role or the fact that Richard Simmons is still alive. For some reason I thought Richard Simmons passed away a while ago. That might just be because I haven’t seen or heard anything about him for years. I think Pauly Shore is actually a fitting person to play him though. He looks just like him in this photo.
Richard Simmons is not involved so it’s unauthorized. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they disapprove, right?
It’s a shame. I would like to know Richard Simmons’ story.

You would think for a movie like this playing a real life person they would need to be involved.
Same with the Tommy Lee and Pam Anderson film. They didn’t want that shit out. It’s a dick move on Pauly’s part but it is what it is. Better hope it’s good or the masses are not gonna be kind to him.

Someone needs to tell Simmons and his people about the Streisand effect.
From what Pauly posted on his Facebook sometime last year, I think he’s been trying hard to make this movie happen. A buddy of mine shares his posts, that’s the only way I know about it.
I’m more surprised that pauly shore is still going than Richard Simmons.
This movie is either going to be great or a pure cringe. I’m down for both.
Pauly Shore is a piece of shit and has no reason to play Simmons except for a very minor resemblance.
I hope this film bombs harder than Gigli

Today I learned Pauly Shore is not the same person as Pauly from Jersey Shore.
Richard Simmons should make a Pauly Shore biopic in retaliation!
Paulie Shore is one of the least appropriate people to do this and I’m sure plenty of his many homophobic quotes will come to light soon. One time when he was a guest on a podcast I listen to he started calling a host the f-word out of the blue after he got frustrated for no reason.
He never spoke up about Pauly Shore looking exactly like him up until now.
I thought about this when I saw another article. Was curious bc he really doesn’t seem to want to be in the public eye
I thought it already came out like months ago that he was not interested and didn’t want this.
I wound up having a few drinks with Richard Simmons several years back. He’s definitely an interesting guy. Super friendly and genuinely cares about people, but he’s not quite as family-friendly as his TV persona.
Dude has just wanted to be left alone for years now and people still insist on pestering him.
Can’t picture anyone else taking on the role than Pauly Shore…
Then how does something like this get green lit. The dude is still alive
