    That’s less than minimum wage… what gives???

  2. None of this is accidental. This is all a result of deliberate choices by government. They could spend more money prosecuting rape (and other crimes). They choose not to.

  3. One thing that caught my eye in the article is that at a couple of points they seem to be complaining about how high the bar is for a conviction, as if that’s a problem that needs solving. No, the bar should be high to avoid false convictions. What we need to do is get better at handling these crimes, their investigations and prosecutions, and that costs money.
