I have been in Germany for about 5 months now came as a Blue Card holder and have received a very tempting job offer. However, I am not quite sure how would I proceed with informing the immigration office or do I need their permission prior to changing jobs.
My Blue card is not linked to my current employer as the extention paper came with the card does not state the name of the company.
There is a contradiction between different sources on the internet so i would appreciate an advice from someone who actually went through the same thing.

You can just change the job, go to your behorde tell them you have a new job they will give you a new blue card as sometimes blue cards are directly for a particular job. Although changing the job is not a problem you can change as many as you want and get new cards on basis of them.
