Is the bike in relation to herself? It feels like it’s just one status trying two cover to different things.
EDIT: I thought they’d be more specific if the two things were related 🤷♀️
Idk if this is a stupid question but what info do they want?
As in the suspect was seen on this bike do you know anyone who owns it? Or just seen it at all?
Do they have the bike right now?
They’ve released the suspect now and said he isn’t a suspect anymore.
Fatal assault? Say murder stupid news article. A woman was murdered.
Why did the guards say she didn’t know who he was if they don’t know who did it?
My mom was telling me about this case over dinner tonight (i am in the USA and its Thurs Jan 13 right now). As she was telling me what she read so far I kept interrupting her asking “are you SURE this happened YESTERDAY January 13?? The reason I kept asking is because it seems REALLY UNUSUAL to me for this crime to happen at about 4pm on Wednesday January 13 and have time for their to be so much social media flung around about a suspect that this suspect is arrested and then released. How on earth can all these things culminate in this way so quickly? And I am confused as to the bike… does law enforcement actually have the bike in their possession? Seems to me the attacker would flee on it. If LE does not have the bike and they are relying on the description of this bike from the same people who gave the description of the attacker how can we be sure that the bike description is even accurate? Was this woman sexually assaulted? There is no way a medical examiner would have gotten DNA off her body to compare with ANYONE in this amount of time. Everything about the way this case is being investigated is extremely strange.
If the suspect was using this bike and left it behind, it’s likely stolen. Even if it isn’t, it would probably be difficult to trace back to whoever bought the bike even if the seller recognized it.
It IS a bit of a distinctive bike, if it isn’t stolen and was his main mode of transportation someone might have seen it around. Attacked someone at 4 pm during the day and going round riding a bike, this guy probably doesn’t work as the holidays are over and he either can’t afford a car or doesn’t have a driver’s license (though many working people don’t drive) and is possibly someone who drinks during the day (i dunno why I just think even a psycho wouldn’t do this in the daytime cold sober, the non sexual and random nature of the attack just suggests someone blind drunk and in a rage to me)
In my town the social welfare payments are paid out on a Wednesday, I dunno if it’s the same in Tullamore but checking all the cameras if there are any outside onea around post offices and off licenses to see if that bike was parked outside any of them would be a start. The few notorious ne’er do wells around where I live when they get into bother, the times they’ve battered people or tried to rob someone or whatever, if it wasn’t at night, it was on dole day when they collected their payment early afternoon and went straight onto the booze. 4 pm would be a very strange time for someone who has a job or is sober to carry out something like this.
Serial number will trace the owner usually and where its bought, probably stolen from where cameras then probably who knows

Is there no cctv footage along the canal?
Id welcome a london cctv style system wouldn’t bother me in slightest.
Do we want crime prevention or faux outrage over civil liberties. A private mega corp traces you at most times anyway. in this case im wondering is there any cctv in this area at all?
As a society we need to ask which is it? Currently we have lax laws, multiple free legal aid, lax bail, low sentencing, no tagging, 1 of the lowest police per head, unarmed gardai, little cctv and a culture of soft touch poor cratur syndrome.
People often talk about Norway and their system. What they dnt talk about is how strict and controlled their post release system is.

Im confused, if they don’t know who did it then why are racist arseholes giving out about Romanian men online? Is that just a random coincidence or is it somehow confirmed to be connected to this case?
Absolutely terrifying for the residents of Tullamore that the Guards might not even get this guy. Can you imagine?
So the guards have the bike in possession and believe the attacker owns it but fled on foot? Does that mean he was seen fleeing the area on foot? It’s hard to make sense of the situation. Hopefully the guards can release more detail so the public may be able to help.
