  1. America’s younger generations think they face more difficulty in their efforts to build financial wealth than their parents, who at their age could count on a more favorable economic situation in the country, according to a new Bankrate survey shared with *Newsweek*.

  2. More victim mentality crap. I’m 45 and doing much better than my parents.

  3. This makes a lot of sense given what has happened in the last 20-30 years with massive deregulation and union busting in this country. The rise of financial firms (venture, hedge, and private equity) and a gullet of cheap money has allowed the owner class to hoard all the wealth. For labor, the off-shoring of manufacturing has led to a hollowing out of society.

The boomers voted to kick the ladder down after they climbed up, taking opportunities away from the next generation. And they keep supporting autocrats and would-be-dictators to help them further lock-in gains and disenfranchise the majority.
