  1. Ah yes because you can [not cuddel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hdUCzbCuYk) tehse wild animals they should be hunted. ( Not taht you should tehy are wild. But that jsut is no Argument what so ever.

Also they are only a threat to livestock because the livestock fences are only designed to keep the animals in, but not others out. The simpel solution is that you just need meassuers so keep predators outside. Countries that did not have Wolfs for a long time safed those costs. Now they need to invest in those new fences or protective animals. Most major countries need to invest in these.

Also wolfs are not dumb if you can easily capture a fencend in sheep they will prefer those over hunting in the wild, because it is easier.

Nothing is wrong with the wolf. On the contrary wolfs are very valuable for nature and protecting wildlife. And Humans jsut need to adjust. It really is not that hard. In Germany those extra messuers are also supported financialy by the state, I am sure other countries also give money for that.

  2. uhm? who would ever consider wolves “cuddly”? Hate these kind of headlines. I am certainly pro wolf, but nobody in their right mind would consider wolves anything but wild animals.

  3. It is interesting that now, when the wolves came to Benelux “It is important that the debate about the wolf is now conducted at European level.”

While 5-10 years before, when the wolves were only in the “eastern” Europe, it was a non-negotiable thing to protect the wolf with no exceptions.

  4. There are more wolfs in Germany than in Sweden now and also the highest count of wolf’s ever. We live in the most dense populated area of the world. 46 % of our area is of arable use and no forest in Germany is a natural or historic forest. Germany was nearly completely deforrested in the early medival introducing a Forrest law to protect and replant the Forrest to provide building material and burning wood.
However the agricultural production back then was negligible in comparison of today and loosing a sheep or cow was a heavy loss an threatened the survival of the farmers Bach than, having on mind, that the peasants overproduction also nourished the urban areas and monasteries.. So wolf’s were considered a pest.. And that is what they are still today.. Besides the point, that losing some sheep is more a financial loss that’s refunded by tax money we all pay for the Wolfes dinner.. Also wolfs kill dogs. If you have a dog and walk through a wolf infested Forrest, they most likely attack your dog on the leash.. I have Videos from such incidents..

  5. So we want them to exist as long as they do not bother the animals that we will slay no matter what because that bothers the economy. Also if they exist in other countries it is better too so we won’t have to care much and if we keep their population low too

I feel like people forget that we live in the lands that these animals used to roam free. It is not like they didn’t exists years ago before people started killing them
