I checked the save plan, I don’t get any loan forgiveness and my monthly payments would be double the amount. Also trying to call Nelnet, was on hold yesterday for 25 min and got disconnected.
Anyone else having any good luck?
Have we found peak debt or are we going to keep trying?
I still just want my $10k forgiven that republicans stole from me. Fuck the GOP until I die.
I genuinely don’t understand the issues with this (I actually do it the republicans being assholes). If ppp and cdl loans can be forgiven, combined with other federal loan forgiveness programs, then the logic of “you borrowed the money, you pay it back” doesn’t apply.
Completely ignoring the fact it was Biden who got us into this situation to begin with.
They need to pay their bills.
Can they refund me for the loans I finished paying in 06′?
I need them to pay my mortgage off, it’s only fair as I paid my student loan back as promised.
So, the plan to solve the student debt crisis is to federally subsidize student loans, and then cancel the debt signaling to institutions of higher learning that they can charge whatever they want and tax payers (most of whom do not have degrees themselves) will foot the bill?
If 18 year olds are too dumb to understand the basic banking terms of a simple student loan, then they shouldn’t be voting either. I’d be ok with taxpayers doing a one-time student loan bailout, but with the provision that we raise the voting age to 21, or even 25.
TL;DR:
* Nearly 70 organizations asked the Education Department to continue discussing student-debt relief.
* They want the department to add another negotiation session to discuss borrowers with hardships.
* Some experts and lawmakers said the department’s proposal for relief doesn’t go far enough.
Change interest rates to 0% and keep schools accountable for ridiculous tuition and housing costs. I will gladly more in taxes for education than for military.
Stop crying and pay what you agreed upon.
