  1. I don’t think it matters what Biden does… there is just no way that the Republicans can let a Bill with AID for Ukraine through… It would look like a win for the Democrats… and the Republicans would much rather have dead Ukrainians then a win for the Democrats.

  2. I hope it works. I feel like the Republicans will move the goalposts again and again.

    We do need to tighten border security, but nothing the Democrats offer will be enough because it’s more about fighting Biden than helping the US and our allies.

  4. A win win . The majority of republicans in the Senate and house favor funding weapons to Ukraine , always have.

    But the American people needed something, anything done about southern border security.

    The Biden administration response at the southern border has been a national disgrace.

    If no action is taken other states will follow Texas lead , and began secure the border with their national guard. A military buildup on the border is not a good thing .

    The federal government needs to be in charge of the national border.

    Hopefully they will now be empowered to take charge and do their job.

    Thankfully we have one political party that gives a damn about border security .

    Johnson has made it very clear that he will not allow any more aid for Ukraine to pass, no matter what Biden agrees to. Biden could let Johnson write the border bill entirely by himself, and he’d still claim that it isn’t good enough.

    There won’t be any more US aid for Ukraine.

    Biden had 18 months with a cooperative Congress and Senate, and spent the whole time slow-walking every single piece of equipment. And now it’s too late.

  8. Blocking aid harms Democrats and helps their Russian donors, why the fuck would the republicans allow them to pass any aid bill no matter the condition?

    The only way to get more equipment to the UA is by finding a shit ton of kompromat on the republicans and blackmailing them personally to do it.

  9. It will pass no worries. Republicans need it to pass as much as democrats. Stepping away from Ukraine would embolden China more than any other move possible. This is all just word smithing, posturing, etc. before the election. Each side is taking months to ensure they played chicken enough to make it look like a win. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the pause was more to shore up manufacturing and logistics to be honest.

    Russia is truly screwed once this passes though. They are going to depreciate the heck out of the equipment given to Ukraine moving forward. Imagine how much an ATACM past its shelf life is worth / costs. 10 bucks? I’d think it has negative value because you have to pay for disposal?

    Another 60B will be a thumping on Russia, provide Ukraine breathing room to develop additional home grown solutions, and give Europe some breathing room to actually develop a longer term Russia strategy they were suppose to be already doing through NATO membership. (Cough cough…. France and Germany) Cheers to 2024 and Ukraine!

    Plus, the Europeans are starting to ramp up their own domestic production of weapons. This weakens Americas standing in the world because of the actions of a handful of house congressmen.

  12. The MAGAts will only move the goalpost and demand an even harsher immigration policy, because they aren’t interested in addressing the issue, they want to continue weaponizing it. And no matter what compromise is reached, the MAGAts will renege on any Ukraine deal, because when it comes down to it they side with Americas enemies and hate the US.

YAY let’s celebrate the charade and yellow journalism this twitter post implies like Biden was the impediment or the Democratic Party to any kind of border security, when it’s the Republicans who caused this mess by kidnapping children and gumming up the asylum courts making the situation worse in 2018 and then using it as a political wedge issue every election cycle or how about when Republicans controlled the entire govt in 2016 and could have done anything and did **NOTHING** but steal kids from their parents
