I’m not sure why the media are omitting the fact he has autism, or is that court ordered?
So often the case with these types of scenarios, a clear sign more help, support, and intervention is needed on the mental health side before wanton criminality happens.
It’s an explanation not an excuse for the lad, he’ll rightly be punished, but it’s a failing of society that he didn’t get help sooner, shameful.

Funny how the Guardian didn’t refer to him as a terrorist whilst using the phrases “accused of plotting” or “suicide attack” The guy literally had created bombs and explosives just to kill innocent people and he even had a manual called “the freedom encyclopaedia” in which he refers to as his “cook book”. But what is funny is that if it was a Muslim who committed this vile act, straight away the Media would have bombarded and called him or her a terrorist without any reason whatsoever. This is seriously double standards. I bet one hundred percent he would be let off just because he was “mentally unstable” or “was in a state of confusion” the usual excuses that would bring out to a person who commits this horrendous and selfish act on innocent people.

Why did the article conveniently leave out the fact he’s white?
He essentially just took every complaint people have about the country and used them as excuses to hurt innocent people.
Absolutely bloody vile.
God this is just so sad, that he thought this was the normal response to his views. Norris Green is a working class area and Liverpool is such a culturally rich place. Im sad he didn’t see all the good in the city.
His actions must’ve set off about 1000 different klaxons at MI5.
This seems like a very OTT response to what seems like a case of youthful exuberance getting out of hand, and nothing that couldn’t be resolved with a stern telling off – hopefully common sense will prevail and the Judge will put a halt to these proceedings, satisfied that the young man in question has learned his lesson
