The photos posted in the story yesterday showed that they’d cut down pelican crossings and traffic lights. We’re lucky nobody’s died yet, frankly.

Absolutely tragic and completely avoidable. Enough is enough – it’s time for the Met to start taking the threat posed by these idiots seriously. Between planting IEDs in residential neighbourhoods and cutting down traffic lights and causing car crashes, they’re going to end up killing someone.
Need to start putting these people in prison like the terrorists they are. You’d think when they started using IEDs in London to take them down the police would properly take notice.

What’s this got to do with a car accident? It’s a camera to detect gas guzzling cars, not to somehow prevent crashes.

I don’t want to defend the ‘blade runners’ because what they are doing is terrible and stupid, but…I do think it’s a bit of a stretch to say they’re responsible for the girl’s injury.
The story doesn’t go into any detail about the incident so it’s impossible to make any definitive conclusions. However my initial suspicion would be that most of the blame lies with the driver.
The Highway Code it’s pretty clear that if a traffic light is faulty you should treat it as an unmarked junction and proceed with great care. If anything the lack of the traffic light should make the junction safer because everyone should be acting more cautiously. So if an accident occurs it’s likely the driver was being negligent.
I know this comment will likely be downvoted and my opinion might be different if we knew more details of the situation. But that’s just my initial thought.
I had to drive through there this morning taking my kids to school. They cut down the lights at two really busy crossroads. Fuck these blade runner twats.

I’m in Chislehurst where a load of main road lights have been cut down. What I find shocking is that in over a week nothing has been fixed oand no temporary lights have not been put up….
