  1. Israel: “Turn the hostages back over to us first.”

  2. “The Biden administration is pressing Israel to restore telecommunications access to Gaza amid a massive blackout that has stretched a record six days and left millions of Palestinians without power or internet.

Administration officials fear the blackout will make it difficult for anyone to know what is happening between Hamas and the Israeli military as the war in Gaza continues, potentially worsening an already dire humanitarian situation. The U.S. has “been in touch with the government of Israel over this blackout and have urged them to turn telecoms back on,” said a U.S. official at the White House, speaking anonymously due to the sensitivity of the discussions.”

  3. “why arent you giving free electricity to country youre at war with???”

  4. I’d be shocked if Israel *ever* agrees to resume supplying anything to Gaza after this, from jobs to water and power.

It’s a hostile foreign quasi-state that invaded Israel as an act of war. They’re on their own.

  5. Hamas — and the Red Cross— can’t even bother to get medicine to the hostage, let alone release them. Why should Israel reward that?

  6. Are the missiles Israel shoots down not enough light for them?

  7. It is insane that they expect a nation to provide food, water, and electricity to an enemy territory during a war.

  8. There is no way that’s happening. The deal between the hostages families and the Israeli government is to limit aid to the minimum, as to apply pressure on Hamas to let international check on the hostages. The hostages families won’t agree to such request, not at this stage. Washington should take this demand to the hostages families.

  9. World to Hamas “Release the hostages. Then we’ll talk”.

    Yeah, well, I can dream.

  10. Do Ukraine and Russia have official trades going on right now ? No ? Didn’t think so.

  11. Release the hostages first, otherwise fucking starve. Everyone’s sick of this shit with them…

  12. Let Gaza figure it out. You want to be independent, be independent.

  13. The Middle East is has always been a dumpster fire. If only we as humans could realize we all out of the earth and be peaceful. But no. Religion and money have corrupted the majority and brainwashed us into perpetual conflict for shit that doesn’t truly matter. Both sides are to blame. We’re all to blame.

  14. Why can’t Egypt connect Gaza to their grid through Rafa?

  15. Israel is like, what you gonna do? We have you by the balls.

  16. Release the hostages first, the ones that are still alive anyways..

  17. Sounds like a Hamas problem to handle.

No more handouts to terrorist fucks. Figure it out yourself.

  18. Some one needs to put Bibi in time out. If they want daddy’s money then they gotta play by daddy’s rules or risk being thrown to the wolves

  19. Gazan: “My appliances are not working peoperly”

Service provider: “Have you tried releasing the hostages?”

  20. “You heard the U.S., LIGHT IT UP!”
    – Israel, probably

  21. Internet and mobile connections…

What about food, water, medical aid!?

And let’s be real, there isn’t any real consequences if Israel refuses.

  22. The Palestinians need to rise up against Hamas. Hamas is doing them no favors.

  23. Gaza obviously has electricity and internet , based off all the Tik Tok videos that are posted from there.

  24. Considering how much money we gave to Iran right before the attack ( which they funded) … I don’t think Israel is going to listen to a damn thing we say for the next 100 years.

  25. Why would Israel listen? We provide them with unlimited aid no matter what

  26. How many of these articles based on “anonymous” White House officials and their passive-aggressive comments and statements on how they “pressured” another government engaged in this and other current conflicts throughout the world?

It’s difficult to imagine a weaker and more ineffective way of governing and navigating complex geopolitical challenges and concerns. Enough with the fence-riding and can-kicking. The handling of Israel, Iran, and even Russia over the past eight months or so, is reminiscent of the chaos, inadequacy, and embarrassment with the Afghanistan demobilization.

  27. why should they? they were attacked, if USA had another 9/11 happened wtf would USA do?
