I think we need to legalise guns because if some dude came at me with pepper spray I want to be prepared

Undiluted pepper spray was used by a thug on a security guard where I worked. He spent 3 days in hospital with chemical burns to his face and it was not known if he would regain his vision (he did thankfully).
The 2 ladies that went to his aid that he unfortunately coughed on also spent time in hospital with chemical burns to their faces and hands.
At the time no one knew what the liquid he was sprayed with was.
We do not need pepper spray in this country. It is a serious weapon when misused.
I’d be up for it ngl. Yes it’s a serious weapon but A) it’s very difficult to kill someone with it and B) it’s actually usable at close quarters to defend yourself with, unlike a penknife or something where you’ve to not make an arse out of stabbing thin air

I worked in security years ago, and a Garda suggested that I “buy pepper spray from eBay, and kick it away when you’ve used it” to help with violent individuals. Not condoning it, just a funny story I was reminded of.
