>Peter Marki-Zay had 60% of the votes in the six-party alliance’s primary runoff, compared with 40% for Klara Dobrev, a European Parliament vice president and the candidate of the biggest opposition DK party, with almost half of the votes counted on Sunday.
Marki-Zay has vowed to undo Orban’s stranglehold on politics, the economy and culture in the European Union member state, including by firing loyalists the premier has appointed to lead state institutions. He’s also pledged to disregard parts of the constitution he says serve to ensure Orban’s influence even in case of an election defeat.

I really hope that Hungary will get rid of Orban Viktor. He is a bad influence in the neighborhood and his nationalistic and divisive style will have dire consequences. It already spread to Poland and Slovenia and Romania is not far behind and catching up very fast.

Hope you will succeed in the spring elections,
Sincerely, your neighbor to the east.
