Spent a couple of weeks in Greece this summer and loved these little tin jug thingies (mostly because they were filled with wine). I really regret not buying one while I was there and am wondering if any of you would have an idea of where to buy them (for shipping to the US). Thanks for the help!
In most areas of greece this was called a “half”, as the container size was half an oka (ottoman unit of mass measurement, 1 oka = 1.2829 kgs or 45.25 oz)
They are fantastically efficient to cool down white wine fast. .

We call it Kanàta in my town
It’s called [κανάτα or καραφάκι](https://www.skroutz.gr/c/3748/kanates-karafakia-estiasis.html?keyphrase=%CF%87%CE%B1%CE%BB%CE%BA%CE%B9%CE%BD%CE%B1). Originally it was made of copper but modern ones are made from aluminium and painted this copper colour.
Αυτό είναι “μισό”…
