Lithuania knew what they were getting themselves into.
China had one stupid rule. Don’t refer to things as Taiwan. Lithuania knew that and decided to do it anyways. Which is awesome on their part.
But then you can’t then complain that China is being unfair, when everyone and their mom knew what kind of backlash would ensue.
Lithuanian gov essentially decided to trigger a trade war without consulting any of the other EU member states…
No thanks, let’s stay out of this.
If Lithuania decided to piss of China, it is their right.
If they do it without consoulting their EU partners and it turns into a trade war like now, they have to deal with it themselfs.
No matter how noble the goal might be, going of by yourself and then coming back to beg for help when it turns to shit isnt everybody elses responsibility.
