Semi-trailer truck SLAMS into guardrails on icy Alabama highway #shorts

A semi-trailer truck was seen skidding on an icy highway in Alabama on Tuesday (January 16) before crashing into guardrails, as a winter storm sweeps across the southeastern U.S. state.

Footage filmed by eyewitness Travis Johnston showed the truck swerving to one side of the Interstate 65 (I-65) highway as it lost control, before it slid all the way to the opposite side and went over guardrails.

Local media, citing state troopers, said icy road conditions were reported across many parts of north and central Alabama on Tuesday.

The incident comes after multiple crashes were also recorded on the I-65 on Monday (January 15) near the town of Cullman and caused a road closure in both directions for several hours, according to local media outlet WBRC.

  1. That was on monteagle mountain in south Tennessee on interstate 24…there was bout 10 more just like it

  2. The shot pay on loads and having to deal with this situation while the broker making more money than the trucker and eating donuts at home

  3. I was wondering it looked like he was speeding up even though he was slipping and sliding but he's on the downhill! Heck I don't see how semis try to drive on ice I wouldn't even try it in my little subcompact.

  4. Should have kept going to right first time got on grass and stopped. Wait for salt shaker to come by to treat the road. Or just park it until road improves. I drove tractor trailer 35 years. When I first started an old time driver told me” cops don’t show up when you are late for a delivery but they do show up when you have an accident. Don’t lose your license or your life trying to make dispatch happy. Dispatchers are Satan’s spawn that will lie threaten or promise you whatever you want for you to make delivery on time. “

  5. Ever be driving in a real Bad snow storm and all the trucks are in the same lane going slow like 30 mph and all of a sudden here comes a Big Truck flying pass everybody at 70 mph, well that would be me, 🎲🎲
