  1. De-escalation makes no sense from their perspective, even on an off chance that they’re not gonna actually invade. Putin himself said as such.

  2. Russian statements on press conference were awful. BTW they started to gather troops from all over the Russia towards Ukrainian border.

  3. >On the part of the alliance, Russian initiatives were ignored.

I’m sorry, but were there some back-door deals that weren’t absurd ”NATO disbands in EE” expressions of mockery? We’re not leaving NATO, NATO is not leaving EE. Russia can either live with the reality or, well, fall deeper into the hole of jingoism they are falling in. We will never invade Russia, we do not want it, we do not need it and our people would never accept it. War with Russia is death for all of us. I’d hope Russians share in this sentiment.

  4. why all demand only from Russia but themselves do not fulfill their obligations is hypocrisy. the Minsk agreements clearly spell out the procedure for the execution of actions, Ukraine does not fulfill the political part and Europe supports them in this, in direct violation of the document they signed and not fulfilling their obligations, this is hypocrisyupports them in this, in direct violation of the document they signed and not fulfilling their obligations, this is hypocrisy

  5. The clever Western trick a-la Merkel making a call to Lukashenko didn’t work! Time to dust off new sanctions.
