Belarus Loses Key Potash Transit Route Through Lithuania

  1. But it was Belarus that announced they were moving this to go via Russia since last year? It’s funny how if you pivot a title in one way, it seems like Belarus is the loser. Belarus is the one paying Lithuania to transit their Potash via the port of Klaipeda. They are literally paying Lithuania over $200m to transit the Potash and have it shipped to their customers around the world. They are now going to route this via the Russian port of Ust-Luga.

The Lithuanian politicans got ahead of the story by controlling the narrative but Belarus already announce literally at every point last year that they will do this anyway.
