Italian Catholic, Jewish leaders condemn use of Nazi flag at church funeral

  1. Do rightist extremists not consider themselves self-proclaimed patriots, and is the pall employed not the former flag of another nation? I would like them to attempt to resolve such an aporia.

  2. I never understood the phrasing of some news titles, they like to omit the “and”

    This title makes it sound like the italian catholics are also Jewish. I was very confused and had to read it several times.

  3. to be fair, it’s nice these flags are being used to indicate a dead Nazi—but prob easier to burn the flag and let the body decompose in feces.

  4. Most Jewish people are not surprised that a Nazi flag was placed on a coffin outside of the church after the funeral. Unfortunately most Jews do associate the Nazi flag with Christianity. I know I do.

  5. I lived in Italy for 7 years. From what I could understand they still have not settled the debate about WWII.

    To some, Mussolini and fascist memorabilia holds the same value as the confederate flag in Southern US states, even though they say that History is written by the victors.
