Royals in The British Armed Forces

The Royal Family has always had a close connection to the military.
King Charles is the Commander-In-Chief of the British Armed Forces, and served in both the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.

Prince Harry joined the British Army, graduating from Sandhurst in 2005. The government prohibited Prince Harry’s deployment to Iraq, but he was eventually permitted to deploy to Afghanistan in 2007.

As the first in line to the throne, Prince William faced even tighter restrictions during his time in the British Army. After graduating from Sandhurst in 2006, he was prevented from deploying to Iraq or Afghanistan. In 2009, serving as an RAF officer, Prince William joined their Search and Rescue Force.
He reportedly took part in 156 search and rescue operations, rescuing 149 people in total.

While neither Queen Camilla nor Princess Catherine served in the armed forces, they both hold a number of honourary military ranks. Queen Camilla has the honourary title of Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. While Princess Kate has the honorary title of Colonel of the Irish Guards.

  9. I've had family elders in the Royal Navy & British Army. They were both an incredibly good influence having had that kind of experience. It is lovely as a 70s child, seeing clips like this that honour the Royal Patrionage & involvement. 🙋‍♀️☯️

  16. ### If there was ever any usefulness of the Royal families(translating the HOLY BIBLE into the English language, namely, The King James Version) it has ended. And the United States of America 🇺🇲 which was used to gather all peoples from every ethnicity and from every nation under the sun 🌞 their rule over GOD'S world has ended.

  20. I remember watching documentaries about the Royals being in the military. I did not see Princess Ann or Prince Edward being in the military.

  21. William served with honor 🎖 as did King Charles. Harry needs to be committed to a sic ward for mental health care . Catherine Princess of Wales should be prayed 🙏 for she is the blessing of BRITAIN from God.
