If Germany do not catch up on electric vehicle, its market share is gonna slowly get eat up by China and the US.
Germany is dreaming over ‘concept visions’ that never make it to market whilst the U.S and China are getting on with it. They are really losing their edge. I imagine BMW’s CEO spends the board meetings with ‘How big can you get the grill?’ and the designer just replies ‘Yes’, whilst the Mercedes CEO spends his mondays with ‘ got any exciting concept visions we can cook up and share for marketing? ‘.
Yet so far away from the quality of one…
Audi Q3 vs Tesla Q4.
It is Audi, they are talking about Audi!
Hang on, this shows Audi’s 3rd quarter results but Tesla’s 4th quarter so is very misleading. If you draw a line at Tesla’s 3rd quarter it’s miles off Audi’s figures. (guesstimates: Audi 375k, Tesla 250k).
Admittedly, Audi trending down and Tesla is heading up but, still, it’s not a like for like and very misleading.
Ok great so its valuation should approach a single premium german car maker instead of the entire industry combined. Bubble.
When Mercedes, Audi & BMW release electric cars their sales will uptick as well. I’d much rather have a Mercedes EQS than a Tesla.
