Honestly, Trump is too much a liability to the free world. This moment requires unity among America, Europe, Japan, South Korea etc. He can only cause division.
I think it’s unfortunately even a bigger worry than Putin’s Little Helper just not supporting Ukraine. Don’t forget the US probably knows just about everything there is to know about the Ukrainian military in real time, including it’s tactics, plans, abilities, locations, and leaders. If Trump gets elected he’s going to have access to *all* of that intelligence.

the republican party is dead. the nominee that caters to the fringe might win a nomination, but the party that caters to the middle is the one that wins the election. traditionally, voters were aware of this principle and would choose the candidate who they thought had the best chance to swing the moderate votes.
the only real threat to this principle is voter turn out. your candidate still has to excite the base. however, this also does the opposite. if your candidate is too fringe, it will motivate high turn out of the opposition party. they won’t be voting for their candidate as much as they will be voting against your candidate.
the dnc has a longer history of dealing with their anti-war fringe and being seen as weak on national defense since the days of jimmy carter. they have overcome this, especially through the clinton years, and have became the party of a strength when it comes to national defense and foreign policy.
the libertarian party and conspiracy theory has greatly influenced the republican party. the republican party has become so anti-government, they are against spending on national defense and have become isolationists. they have forgotten that if you don’t deal with aggressive nations, it eventually becomes a bigger problem. they also forgot that free trade means a lower cost of living. they have replaced principles of free markets and free trade with bunker mentality.
