  1. Silva for me easily goes down as one of Chelsea’s legends. Apart from winning the UCL and CWC (for the first time in his career as well), he’s been one of the few regular starters for the team and has been regularly performing really well.

    And I think the fact that he’s been consistent considering how bad Chelsea have been is even more surprising.

    Not to mention that he joined Chelsea at 35 and he’s now 39 – still performing well in my opinion.

    I’ve seen very few articles praising his time at Chelsea to the extent this piece did so I thought I’d share it.

    I hope Silva can remain as part of the club in some way moving forward. His presence would be a constant reminder for all the young players of what hard work can get you.
