Cruz is very unpopular with his constituents. In 2012, Cruz won 56% to 40%. In 2018, he won 50% to 48%. Obviously if that same trend continued, he would lose. This is going to be close and both parties know it. Both of them have a lot of cash on hand and it’s a heavy focus for each party.
