He thinks he can force Ukraine to agree to any settlement that would be acceptable to Putin and himself by simply threatening to withdraw American support. But even if the withdrawal of American support would make the war impossible to win because Europe can’t fully compensate for it, Trump doesn’t have any means to prevent Ukraine from spending months fighting a lost war against Russia (followed by a government-in-exile running Partisan actions with Eastern European support).
It’s just Trump talking out his ass again. That’s what compulsive liars do.

The US economy isn’t do doing so hot and is set to get a lot worse this year and more and more of its people are stick and tired of the nation meddling in the affairs of others in the tunes of hundreds of billions if not trillions of tax dollars.
More and more people globally are/have lost faith in the US/EU especially as they continue to blindly support the genocide in Palestine.
Making peace with the Russians will be one of the most important things for social and economical stability going forward. Yet peace talks keep failing despite China continuing to push both sides to work things out. But the west, especially the US, doesn’t know how to handle such situations at all. They come in screaming demands and expect them to be followed and have 0 interest in listing.
I think this shows very clearly in the fact that even to this day we don’t know what the demands for either side are for peace. We live in 2024 and this peace deal is will define our future. Why the actual F aren’t these talks live streamed?
But yeah, peace comes when you stop fighting and start talking. There is no other way.
